Fees
My usual fee is $180 per 50-60 minutes session.
Here are some existing avenues to subsidise some mental health services :
No insurance coverage
Some clients pay me directly for services.
Private Insurance
Some workplace health insurance benefits can cover some of the costs. I would encourage you to verify with your provider and see if they cover social workers. Some providers may also only cover social worker who are supervised by psychologists like I am.
OHIP
Provincial health insurance plans do not cover the costs for private mental health services. Some public mental health services are offered, You can contact your local hospital to find out what services are available.
Employee Assistance Programs
Some employers may have available an Employee Assistance Programs. Generally employers contract an employee assistance company who will refer you to one their contracted counsellor in your area.
there are EAP programs available for you if you or your spouse or parent is a federal government employee, a member of the Canadian Forces or a veteran.
Automobile Insurance
If you require services as a result of an automotive accident, you may be covered through your car insurance.
WSIB
The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) may be able to offer financial assistance if your injuries are as a result of a workplace incident.
V/WAP
If you have been witness or a victim of a crime you may be eligible for some mental health services through the Victim/Witness Assistance program. . You should get more information about this by contacted your local police department.
Blue Cross
Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) identification card accepted. Coverage done through Blue Cross.
Victims of Sexual Assault
If you are a victim of sexual assault or sexual abuse and you would like counselling to address issues regarding to present or historical sexual assault or abuse, you can contact the Women's Sexual Assault Centre of Renfrew County.
